Prof. Timo Dickscheid has accepted an appointment as Professor of "Computer Vision" at the University of Koblenz. The scientist, who previously studied in Koblenz, will begin teaching and conducting research there on October 1, 2025, in the Department of Computer Science at the Institute for Computational Visualistics.

The institute’s research is centered on the interaction between computer systems and visual data, encompassing areas such as image generation, image interpretation, and natural language–based artificial intelligence. These focal points demonstrate a close alignment with his ongoing research at INM-1, where he will continue in his role as head of the "Big Data Analytics" research group.
