9th BigBrain Workshop: Strengthening European - Canadian collaboration in brain research

The 9th BigBrain Workshop (27-29 October 2025) in Berlin brought together leading researchers to explore the frontiers of ultra-high-resolution, multimodal brain data, modelling, and mapping, and to strengthen the links between European and Canadian neuroscience. The workshop served as the closing symposium for HIBALL.

The Julich-Brain Atlas at the OHBM in Brisbane

The Julich-Brain Atlas with the EBRAINS siibra toolsuite, the BigBrain, the new AI model for live cell segmentation and receptor autoradiography was presented at this year's Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) meeting in Brisbane in June.

BrainComp 2022: Experts in neuroscience and computing discuss the digital transformation of neuroscience and benefits of collaborating

A new field of science has been emerging at the intersection of neuroscience and high-performance computing - this is the takeaway from the 2022 BrainComp conference, which took place in Cetraro, Italy from the 19th to the 22nd of September. The meeting, which featured international experts in brain mapping, machine learning, simulation, research infrastructures, neuro-derived hardware, neuroethics and more, strengthened the current collaborations in this emerging field and forged new ones.
